Bety Pujol Cajal

Bety Pujol Cajal is a multidisciplinary artist, choreographer, and educator with a critical artistic approach that addresses the cultural, sociopolitical, and psychological issues of contemporary society. Her personal and autobiographical style reveals both her sensitivity and creative strength. From 2009 to 2014, Bety worked as a professional dancer with the Chaco Contemporary Dance Company in Argentina. She has performed at prestigious venues, including Teatro Colón, and renowned European theaters such as Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (Italy), Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (Spain), Royal Danish Theatre (Denmark), and Theater an der Wien (Austria).

Bety’s dance education includes training in Tango and Argentine Folklore, which she incorporates into her choreographic work, blending traditional Argentine movement with contemporary practices. As an independent choreographer, she has created works for the Youth Dance Company of the Tolerance and the Blare Dance Company. She has participated in the TanzTag Festival in 2021, 2022, and 2023, and has received funding and support from various institutions, including the Federal Ministry of the Republic of Austria, Bear in the Park, the Arche Theater, and a choreography residency at Espacio La Granja in Valencia. She is currently part of the Flat Share program, organized by East Dance London.

Bety holds a BA in Dance, along with a certification in dance teaching. She is also trained as a Pilates instructor, specializing in injury rehabilitation, which provides her with a holistic approach to movement. Her postgraduate degree in cultural management and communication further enriches her creative work. Currently, she is pursuing a personal training certification to continue expanding her expertise.
